Student Life Committee
Purpose
The goal of Student Life is to enhance the non-academic experience of students with the University. SLC wants to give Michigan students the tools and knowledge to utilize all of the resources available at our wonderful school. We do a lot of information campaigns and pass out free things to help students deal with the rigorous academic responsibilities of a top-notch University.
Current Projects
This year, SLC will be working on reallocating the printing pages, expanding our “ThisSucks” and “Did You Know” campaigns, and continuing to provide students with a variety of services to make life easier at the University, like passing out free blue books and food on the diag. SLC will meet at 6:15 on Wednesdays at the Michigan Union. Right away in the Fall, SLC will be hosting a Diag Day wit tons of food and candy to promote the “ThisSucks” program, which hears complaints and suggestions from the Student Body. At this same event, we will also be passing out random, helpful information about different aspects of the University, such as library hours and bicycle registrations procedures. SLC is also looking into creating a Football Guide for new students, specifically international students who don’t know about the rich tradition of Michigan Football.
